Homepage Selection

Mentor LMS offers multiple homepage templates to choose from, allowing you to select the most appropriate layout for your learning platform.

Accessing Homepage Settings

1. Log in to your admin dashboard
2. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar menu
3. Select Page Settings from the dropdown options

Available Homepage Templates

Mentor LMS provides several pre-designed homepage templates optimized for different use cases:

Template 1: Collaborative Learning Hub (Multi-Instructor)

The default template featuring a hero section, course categories, featured courses, and instructor highlights. Ideal for most learning platforms with diverse course offerings. This template is designed for collaborative course creation mode, allowing multiple instructors to work together.

Template 2: Collaborative Course Spotlight (Multi-Instructor)

A template optimized for platforms focusing on a single course or a small set of premium courses. Features a prominent call-to-action and detailed course preview. This template works with collaborative course creation mode, supporting multiple instructors per course.

Template 3: Traditional Academy (Single-Instructor)

Designed with an academic institution aesthetic, this template includes announcement banners, academic calendar integration, and a more structured layout. This template is optimized for administrative course creation mode, where each course has a single instructor.

Selecting Your Homepage Template

1. In the Page Settings section, find the Homepage Template dropdown
2. Click to view available template options
3. Select your preferred template from the list
4. Preview the template using the Preview button (opens in a new tab)
5. Once satisfied with your selection, click Save Changes

Customizing Your Homepage

After selecting a template, you can customize individual sections of your homepage:

1. Navigate to Homepage Management in the sidebar menu
2. Click on Customize Homepage
3. Use the visual editor to modify:
   • Hero section content and images
   • Featured categories
   • Promotional sections
   • Testimonial sections
   • Call-to-action blocks

Setting a Custom Page as Homepage

If you prefer to use a custom page as your homepage:

1. First, create your custom page under Pages > Add New Page
2. Return to Settings > Page Settings
3. In the Custom Homepage dropdown, select your created page
4. Enable the Use Custom Homepage toggle
5. Click Save Changes

Mobile Responsiveness

All homepage templates are fully responsive and will adapt to different screen sizes. However, consider these best practices:

• Preview your selected template on multiple devices
• Ensure hero images look good on smaller screens
• Keep important calls-to-action visible on mobile
• Test navigation menus on different screen sizes

After configuring your homepage, proceed to Storage Setup to configure where your course files and media will be stored.
