The system administrator has the highest level of access in Mentor LMS, with comprehensive control over all aspects of the platform.

After logging in as an administrator, you'll have access to a powerful dashboard that provides quick access to key metrics and platform management features.

Administrator Capabilities

User Management

  • Manage All Users: Create, view, edit, and deactivate user accounts
  • Role Assignment: Assign or change user roles (admin, instructor, student)
  • Instructor Applications: Review and approve applications from users wanting to become instructors
  • User Verification: Verify user identities and credentials when required

Content Management

  • Course Oversight: View, approve, edit, or remove any course on the platform
  • Exam Management: Oversee all exams, approve, edit, or remove exam content
  • Category Management: Create and organize course and exam categories and subcategories
  • Featured Content: Select courses and exams to highlight on the homepage
  • Quality Control: Ensure all content meets platform standards
  • Lesson Resources: Monitor and manage downloadable resources across all courses

Financial Administration

  • Payment Gateway Setup: Configure payment processing services (PayPal, Stripe, Mollie, Paystack)
  • Transaction Monitoring: View and manage all financial transactions for courses and exams
  • Revenue Reports: Access detailed reports on platform earnings from all sources
  • Instructor Payouts: Set commission rates and manage instructor payments
  • Refund Processing: Handle student refund requests when necessary
  • Coupon Management: Create and manage discount codes for courses and exams
  • Analytics Dashboard: Track enrollment and revenue metrics across the platform
