Student Role

Students are the primary users of the Mentor LMS platform, accessing and engaging with educational content created by instructors. The student interface is designed to provide an intuitive and effective learning experience.

Student Dashboard

After logging in, students are greeted with a personalized dashboard that displays their enrolled courses and account information.

The student interface includes:

  • Profile Section: Displays student name and email
  • My Courses: List of enrolled courses with status indicators
  • Navigation Menu: Easy access to all student features

The sidebar menu provides easy access to all student features:

  • My Courses: View and access your enrolled courses
  • Wishlist: Saved courses for future enrollment
  • My Profile: Manage your personal information
  • Settings: Configure account preferences
  • Appearance: Customize interface display options
  • Logout: Securely exit your account

Course Enrollment

Enrolling in a Course

  1. Select a course of interest

  2. Review the course details:

    • Course description and objectives
    • Curriculum overview
    • Instructor background
    • Student reviews and ratings
    • Price and enrollment options
  3. Add to cart or enroll directly

  4. Complete the payment process (for paid courses)

  5. Receive confirmation and immediate access to course content

Managing Enrollments

  • Course Access: Enter enrolled courses from the dashboard
  • Learning Progress: Track completion status across all courses
  • Certificates: Download earned certificates upon course completion
  • Enrollment History: View record of all course registrations

Becoming an Instructor

Students can apply to become instructors directly from their dashboard:

  1. Click on Become an Instructor in the sidebar
  2. Complete the application form with required information:
    • Resume: Upload your resume/CV file
    • Skills: Enter relevant teaching skills as tags
    • Biography: Write about yourself and your expertise
  3. Submit your application for review

Once approved, you'll gain access to instructor features while maintaining your student account.

  2. Create a Schedule: Dedicate regular time for course progress
